Lil Yachty's most recent album, Let's Start Here., is an complete flip from the typical music that the artist has been known for making throughout his career.
The rapper rose to fame with songs like "One Night" and other that have a similar, SoundCloud-ish sound. Lil Boat was ready to escape the box he was in as a rapper.
He explained that his goal was to make something that made the industry take him seriously.

The album makes listeners feel as if they're going through a transformative journey with the artist. Yachty includes heavy guitar and drums to give the album a feeling of smooth rock and bring alive his vision for an alternative album.
Fans have been extremely receptive to the album and are praising the rapper for stepping into a different creative zone, and doing it correctly. Even Drake had to show his respect, giving the album a "11/10" rating in a post on his Instagram story.
