21 Savage Named 2022 Best Rapper Alive by Complex

21 Savage has been named as “The Best Rapper Alive” of 2022 by Complex.

Complex explained that he received the award because he had a “consistent output” and evolved “his cadence and wordplay with every verse.” 

The Slaughergang rapper had a year filled with features with impactful names like Pharrell, Nas, and of course, Drake, who he released an album with in November. He also made an appearance on the Grammy-nominated God Did by DJ Khaled, and Metro Boomin’s Heroes & Villains, two of the biggest rap albums of 2022.

21 Savage has the ability to fit on a song with anyone, whether it’s Drake, The Weeknd, or Latto.

In his interview with Complex, Savage stated that he’s thankful to be named such a high honor, but felt as if it was an “overstatement.” Humility is key and the best way to keep yourself motivated to reach newer heights. The Her Loss artist also revealed that he has new music coming very soon.
