Dropping multiple tapes in the same week is something that most artists avoid. Typically, you want to give your fans a while to sit and grow with new projects— but sometimes it just needs to be released. Brae$av was originally aiming to hold the first of the two releases, Heartbreak of Sav Packo, out in August.

"I know my fans [are] ready to hear what I got to say."

Titled after the nickname his late grandmother gave him, "Paco," Brae$av used Heartbreak of Sav Packo as an opportunity to pour his heart out to his fans.

What’s your favorite song on the album?

Newport Freestyle, I made that song in like 10 minutes. I recorded with my dawg Rico Trap A Lot, he’s from Mississippi.

Do you have any music videos coming from Heartbreak of Sav Packo?

I’m going to make videos to 2 songs when my body is all the way ready to be turnt up how I want to be in the videos. I’m ‘bout to show my a**.

You told us you have a few pivotal things going on outside of music. If you want to, expand on how these things effected the making of this album?

I recently went to jail— [I’m] still fighting the case I can’t say too much… That made me man up a lot and showed me how real my life really is. I locked in with some real top dawgs in there, they gave me some good game and loved my music! I also got shot twice, one in the foot, one in the hip. That gave me the rage on this tape— my energy is at a different level right now… My own people believing false lies about me when [they] know my heart, I’m beyond hurt right now … I feel like the whole world against me. My love life is in shambles, I’m really heartbroken, bro. It’s real life the “Heartbreak Of Sav Paco.”

The second of the two releases was more upbeat than the previous. With songs like “Let’s Get Drunk” and “Top Bleedz” with Projekt Booda, Brae$av tapped in with his fun side. Still, the Oklahoma artist touches on the pain that he referenced before.

“Dealing with disloyalty and honestly I’m fed up. On top of that, the b**** you love giving head up. Plus people you love blocking your blessing, that s*** messed up.” - Brae$av on Keep Ur Head Up
The artist says that Sav World 2, the sequel to his 2020 album, Sav Worldis on the way. Until then, you can enjoy his recent tapes out now on all streaming platforms.
