It’s been well over a year since Steph Simon’s previous full length album, Diamonds From the Tisdale, dropped (June 2021).

That same year, Oklahoma experienced a monumental time with Fire In Little Africa, a project in which Simon took on an executive producer role while also rapping on multiple tracks. The album was signed under Motown Records, giving the many artists involved a nice achievement to add to their musical resumes. It was later awarded with Album of the Year in the 2022 OakA Awards. The album’s lead single, "Shining," received the Video of the Year award. Furthermore, Steph Simon was nominated for Artist of the Year.

Dreamland Fest featured a variety of artists including Rapsody and LaRussell.
