The open mic brings together people for a night full of vibes, networking and good music. Musicians often wait and/or travel hours in hopes of getting an opportunity to perform in front of crowds of 2-300+.

Something Dope is bigger than just an event— it’s a platform that aims to put talented creatives in front of hundreds of viewers, both digitally and in person. Their line interviews have become a hit with those in attendance and has garnered millions of views on Tiktok. The interviews are conducted by Jeremy Hecht, who also hosts each open-mic night.

The week prior to the 2023 Grammys, Something Dope for the People held a Grammy-series which included a week full of events leading up to an official pre-grammy party. The series of events was loaded and had appearances from DDG, 2kbaby, Smokepurpp, DJ Carisma, Justin Credible, and many more.
Something Dope's most recent win came in the radio world, though. The brand landed a partnership with Dash Radio and will be launching its own radio show in the near future. Artists can submit to potentially get their song played here.
