MABA Commissioner, Romio Harvey, Is Grateful for How Far the League has come

The Mid-America Basketball Association is still in it’s early growth stages, but commissioner, Romio Harvey, is already feeling great about the direction that the league is heading as its first ever season comes to a close.

The league is currently made up of four total teams— two based in Oklahoma and two in Kansas— and is in the process of not only adding more teams, but expanding to Arkansas, Texas, Missouri, and Colorado as well.

“It’s a blessing for us to even be here,” said Harvey, “10 months ago, the MABA wasn’t even a thing.” As a former collegiate and pro ball player, the goal for Harvey was to create a platform for overlooked hoopers who deserve some shine.

Season 1 is coming to an end with the MABA Championship game between the OKC Servants and the Wichita Wizards, hosted at Millwood High School. All-Star weekend will be the week after, July 1st, in Sand Springs, OK.
