The year is in full swing and many artists have already kicked off the year with new music or are gearing up to do so. This is a list of artists we predict will have a big year in 2023.

14. Lola Brooke

The Brooklyn musician brings good energy and a strong presence on her tracks. Her personality, stage presence, and the "real rap" feel in her music gives us enough reason to believe she will have a strong '23.

13. Bankroll Jugg

Bankroll Jugg had a huge year in 2020, releasing the '21 OakA Awards Project of the Year, along with hundreds of thousands of views on music videos throughout the year. 2021 and 2022 weren't as strong for the Lawton artist, but we've been told that he's perfecting new music and plans to come back full force.

12. Tanna Leone

Leone was recently on The Big Stepper's Tour with Kendrick Lamar and pgLang, where lots of new fans were able to discover the artist. With his versatility and backing from K Dot, he's poised to make some real noise.

11. Ice Spice

Ice Spice took the internet by storm in 2022 with the release of "Munch," and then again with "Bikini Bottom." Having just released her debut EP, Ice Spice can continue to utilize her unique beat selection, good looks, and like-able persona to keep the momentum going.

10. Ayilla

Long before her tape with DJ Drama, Ayilla was making major moves and growing her name, but the Tulsa artist closed out 2022 with a Gangsta Grillz album, Kill Us Both that put her on a whole new level. We expect her to continue riding the wave.

9. Redveil

The Maryland rapper/producer is a well-versed creative who simply makes amazing music. His latest project, learn 2 swim, has everything that people who listen to Kendrick Lamar, J.I.D, and Earl Sweatshirt would be looking for in a rapper.

8. Coco Jones

R&B artists tend to drop projects a lot less often than rap artists, but Coco Jones definitely has something special with her 2022 EP, What I Didn't Tell You, and a hit song in "ICU." The former Disney star just released the deluxe version of the album and continues to show how talented she is.

7. Eddie Valero

Eddie Valero has been on a strong run, dropping music videos back to back to back, all while keeping the quality high. The Memphis rapper is creative with his sound and knows how to put together visuals that are more enticing than the average rap music video.
